142 and counting

I am down to 142 and a size 14. I fit into a 12 but its a bit snug, I like my clothes comfy.
I am starting to work on toning now that I have lost lots of fat. I think I am doing great!

I have been steady at 150 for a couple of weeks. I joined the gym and I have really enjoyed running on the treadmill. This is amazing because I hate to run. Check how I am doing soon.

I Am Thinner


I have been hovering at 155 for about a week and a half. I haven't been moving enough and I also have had horrible sugar cravings. I went to the store and bought a bunch of my favorite fruits and veggies to distract me from sugar cravings. Can you believe I found 4 artichokes for $2 at Trader Joes! I bought 8. They are going to be so good with dinner tonight.

I will move more
I will eat better snacks
I will eat more balanced meals

I am down to 159 lbs from 175! Yeah!

I cut down on carbs and fat. I am watching my portions and I am not eating as much sugar. I downloaded ITunes and started dancing vigorously in my living room. I am also trying to be more active everyday. Dancing is cool cause I can dance all day. I incorporate hip hop and arobics, kicks, ballet. I just move fast and have fun to the music.

Yesterdays Eating

Yesterday I got an F for taking care of myself.

I drank lots of milk (skim) with hot cocoa.
I ate cake, ice cream, and I didn't eat balanced meals. I ate horribly! Tomorrow is a new day and all the ice cream is gone.

Starting Somewhere

Loosing weight is a challenge that many women face. These days most women want to look like Jessica Simpson or some other "perfect" body. Well, we aren't perfect. We are not paid to go to the gym for 3 hours a day, 6 days a week. Normal women have stretch marks, bellies, and boobs! I happen to like mine. However, I do want to be healthy and currently, at 5 feet tall and 160 lbs I am clinically overweight. I have lost a little bit of weight since I had my daughter two years ago, but I am still not happy with how I look. I don't feel healthy. I cannot stretch anywhere near as far as I used to and my body feels heavy.

This blog is my motivation. My friend for keeping me eating well and motivating me to exercise. My goal weight is 125-130 lbs. I only have to loose 30-35 lbs. That is not a lot of weight. I am not going to stop eating of deprive myself of food and I am not going to exercise myself into exhaustion. I actually don't like conventional exercise so I am hoping to find other things that will fill in.

Me, one year ago and 10 lbs heavier. (I am the one in red, the two skinny girls are my sisters.)

I know I can do it. This blog will help me to succeed!
